PADI Deep Diver Course

Take the PADI Deep Diver Course in Cozumel and expand your limits under the close supervision of one of Blue Aquatics Divers patient PADI Instructors. 

The lure of the deep! There’s something exciting and mysterious about exploring deeper dive sites while scuba diving. Sometimes it’s a wreck that attracts you below 18 meters/60 feet, and on wall dives it may be a giant fan or sponge. “If only I could safely dive deep enough to see that!”  Sometimes the lure of the deep feels irresistible whether for a wreck, or a special critter. Diving to explore deeper dive sites is exciting and mysterious. Diving below 18 meters/60 feet is a strong temptation on many wall dives and multi-level dives with swim throughs or unique terrain and myriad life. Diving safely and with confidence at depths down to 40 meters/130 feet can be a part of your dive profile with the Deep Diver Specialty Course. This is especially rewarding with Blue Aquatics Divers in Cozumel’s protected Palancar Reef with amazing wall and reef dives at every depth you want to learn to explore  Whatever it is, to scuba dive with confidence at depths down to 40 meters/130 feet, you should take the PADI Deep Diver Specialty course.

If you’ve earned the PADI Adventure Diver rating or higher, and you’re at least 15 years old you can enroll in the Deep Diver course.

Your training starts by reviewing reasons for deep diving and how important it is to know your personal limits. During four deep dives with your instructor, you’ll go over:

• Specialized deep diving equipment.
• Deep dive planning, buddy contact procedures and buoyancy control.
• Managing your gas supply, dealing with gas narcosis and safety considerations.

You will complete four deep dives of the minimum of two days.

Many shipwrecks are often found in deeper water. That’s why the PADI Deep Diver course is a natural companion to the PADI Wreck Diver course. Sometimes you can take these two specialties concurrently.

Other training to consider is the PADI Enriched Air Diver course on your way to PADI Master Scuba Diver.
