Learn to Scuba Dive in Cozumel!

Blue Aquatics Divers makes learning to scuba dive easy. We offer all-inclusive pricing on all our recreational scuba training and includes all the equipment you will need including dive computers; there are no hidden costs.

Personal snorkeling equipment is also included. If you already have your own we encourage you to bring with with you for fit and comfort.

Your PADI Open Water Course consists of three steps.

Step One – Academics

You will complete the academic portion of your PADI Open Water Course prior to your arrival in Cozumel using PADI eLearning. Click the link for a short video on how PADI eLearning works. Click HERE to register for your class and request your eLearning code or crew pack. During this portion of your training you will become familiar with basic diving principles and procedures. For example, you’ll learn the affects of pressure on your body, how to choose the right equipment, considerations for planning dives and more. If you are already on Cozumel you may complete the academic portion with one of our experienced PADI Instructors

Step Two – Confined Water Dives

During this step, you’ll dive into our "swimming pool" located right off the beach and develop the basic scuba skills necessary to safely dive. You will learn how to set up your diving equipment, how to control your buoyancy, dive with a buddy and several other important and fun skills. You will also take tour dives around the reefs where you will be practicing the skills you have learned in preparation for your open water dives in Step Three.

Step Three – Open Water Dives

Get excited to experience everything you've learned with the freedom of open water. You will complete four open water dives to complete your PADI Open Water Certification, two from a beach entry and two from a boat. The PADI Open Water Diver certification is recognized worldwide so your diving experiences will be limitless.

Prerequisites for learning to dive

Be at least 10 years old
Have adequate swimming skills
Be in good physical health
Complete the PADI Medical Statement. (PADI medical statement will be included in your eLearning enrollment)
Additional requirements for children 10-11 years old. In addition to the forms listed above, each participant and their legal guardian must:

Once you submit your deposit for your PADI Open Water Course, Blue Aquatics Divers will send you your PADI eLearning code by *email within 24 hours. Once you receive this you will be able to begin the knowledge development portions of your course immediately.

*For multiple family members enrolling, each student will need their own email address for us to send the eLearning code to.

We will then plan the remainder of your course schedule with you based on your arrival to Cozumel, duration of your stay and of course what other adventures you would like to have while you are here!
